Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Rufrano assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of American Reality Capital on April 1, 2015. Before joining ARCP, Mr. Rufrano served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of O’Connor Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm specializing in retail and multifamily residential properties. He was among the founders of O’Connor in 1983. Prior to rejoining O’Connor in 2013, Mr. Rufrano served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cushman & Wakefield Inc., the world’s largest privately held commercial real estate services company. From January 2008 to February 2010, he was Chief Executive Officer of Centro Properties Group, an Australian public LPT, which owned 22 million square feet of retail property in Australia and 100 million square feet in the U.S. From April 2007 through January 2008, Mr. Rufrano served as Chief Executive Officer of Centro Properties Group U.S. Until its acquisition by Centro Properties Group in April 2007, Mr. Rufrano was Chief Executive Officer of New Plan Excel Realty Trust, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange Company, as well as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Under his leadership, New Plan was transformed into one of the nation’s largest public real estate companies, focusing on the ownership and management of more than 460 community and neighborhood shopping centers encompassing approximately 68 million square feet of retail space. Mr. Rufrano has served as a public Director of Trizec Properties, Inc., a national office REIT, Criimi Mae Inc., a mortgage REIT, and General Growth Properties, an institutional mall REIT. He currently serves on the advisory boards at New York University’s Real Estate Institute and Baruch College and is a trustee and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, as well as a member of the Pension Real Estate Association. Mr. Rufrano is also on the Board of Directors of Ventas, an S&P 500 company and a leading healthcare real estate investment trust, and on the Board of New Alternatives for Children, a not-for-profit health and social services agency whose exclusive mission is to serve children with medical disabilities and/or chronic illnesses and their families. Mr. Rufrano earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and Master of Science in Management and Real Estate from Florida International University.
Richard A. Silfen serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for American Realty Capital Properties. He has more than 25 years of experience in corporate and securities law. Prior to his role at ARCP, Mr. Silfen led the capital markets group of Philadelphia-based law firm Duane Morris, LLP where he practiced corporate law with concentrations in securities and mergers and acquisitions. Throughout his career, Mr. Silfen has advised publicly traded companies in connection with public and private debt and equity securities offerings. He has also advised a broad variety of companies, including a number of real estate investment trusts, in complex mergers and acquisition transactions as well as capital markets transactions. Prior to joining ARCP, Mr. Silfen represented the company during its mergers with non-traded REITs American Realty Capital Trust III, Inc. and American Realty Capital Trust IV, Inc. Mr. Silfen's wide-ranging experience extends to counseling boards of directors on corporate governance and transactional matters. He also advises in connection with public reporting, internal audit functions and other Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and strategies for communication with investors and security analysts. While in private practice, Mr. Silfen was recognized for many years as a leading merger and acquisition, securities and private equity lawyer in Chambers USA's "America's Leading Lawyers for Business." He was also regularly included in the Pennsylvania "Super Lawyers" rankings and other honoraria. Mr. Silfen is a graduate of Baylor University and the University of Alabama School of Law.

Thomas W. Roberts
Executive Vice President, Real Estate
Thomas W. Roberts serves as Executive Vice President, Real Estate at American Realty Capital Properties, Inc. (ARCP). In this role, Mr. Roberts oversees ARCP’s real estate investment activities, including single-tenant retail, office and industrial, and multi-tenant retail. In addition, Mr. Roberts is responsible for ARCP’s sale-leaseback transactions, build-to-suits and dispositions. He also serves as co-chairman of ARCP’s Investment Committee, which reviews each asset to be acquired or disposed to ensure alignment with the company’s investment objectives. Mr. Roberts is a 30-year veteran of the real estate industry. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Opus West Corporation from 1993-2009. During his career at Opus, he was responsible for the design, construction and development of more than 50 million square feet of commercial real estate valued in excess of $8 billion. Mr. Roberts also worked as Vice President, Real Estate Development for the Koll Company. Mr. Roberts was recognized by NAIOP Arizona as its 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. In Real Estate Forum’s 65th Anniversary Edition, Mr. Roberts was recognized as one of “The Next Generation” of commercial real estate leaders helping to shape the industry. Mr. Roberts earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with a specialization in real estate from Arizona State University.

Executive Vice President, Real Estate
Carrington Guy serves as Executive Vice President of Real Estate at American Realty Capital Properties, Inc. (ARCP). Mr. Guy's responsibilities include originating, underwriting and evaluating single-tenant, freestanding, long-term net leased, investment grade or credit worthy opportunities. He participates in every step of the acquisitions process from property identification to transaction negotiation to due diligence to closing. Mr. Guy serves on ARCP’s Investment Committee, which reviews each asset to be acquired or disposed to ensure alignment with the company’s investment objectives. Prior to joining ARCP, Mr. Guy served in a similar capacity for American Realty Capital on behalf of its family of managed REITs. He was also a director with WestRidge Realty Advisors, a firm that specialized in investing institutional capital in grocery-anchored shopping centers. Mr. Guy earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from New York University Stern School of Business.

Executive Vice President, Private Capital Markets
Michael Ezzell serves as Executive Vice President, Private Capital Markets at Cole Capital. In this role, Mr. Ezzell provides strategic direction and oversees all aspects of Private Capital Management, including product development, external and internal sales, marketing, broker/dealer relations, due diligence and securities operations. Mr. Ezzell has more than 16 years of experience in financial services with a specific focus on alternative strategies and commercial real estate. He joined Cole Capital in 2010 as Senior Vice President, Product & Business Development where he was responsible for securing selling agreements with broker/dealers for existing and new product offerings, opening new distribution channels, overseeing due diligence obligations and new product development. Prior to joining Cole, Mr. Ezzell served as Director of Investment Research at AIG Advisor Group, where he managed the investment research department for a network of broker/dealers serving approximately 6,000 independent financial advisors. In this role, he managed the research and due diligence for all packaged investment products and programs including mutual funds, variable annuities, alternative investments, retirement plans and third-party money managers. Mr. Ezzell also worked as Vice President for J.P. Carey Asset Management LLC. Mr. Ezzell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in Economics and Political Science from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. He holds his Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.

Mr. Sodo serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial officer and Treasurer at American Realty Capital Properties. Prior to joining ARCP, Mr. Sodo worked at Capital Automotive, a real estate investment trust, where he served since 2003 in a number of roles of increasing seniority, including most recently as Senior Vice President, Director of Financial Reporting and Treasurer. Mr. Brandon serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at American Realty Capital Properties. He joined ARCP after the Company’s merger with Cole Real Estate Investments, Inc., and most recently served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Managed Office and Industrial REITs, Private Capital Markets. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Brandon worked as the Principal Accounting Officer of Cole Corporate Income Trust, Inc. and Cole Corporate Income Advisors, LLC. Prior to joining Cole in August 2011, Mr. Brandon worked for nine years with Deloitte & Touche LLP, most recently as a senior manager. Paul McDowell serves as President, Office & Industrial Group for American Realty Capital Properties (ARCP). He is responsible for the company’s office and industrial portfolio including acquisitions, sale-leasebacks and build-to-suits. Mr. McDowell serves on ARCP’s Investment Committee which reviews each asset to be acquired or disposed to ensure alignment with the company’s investment objectives. Prior to joining ARCP, Mr. McDowell was a founder of CapLease (NYSE: LSE) a net-lease REIT, where he served as CEO from 2001 to 2014 and as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary from 1994 until 2001. Mr. McDowell served on the CapLease Board of Directors from 2003 to 2014 and was elected Chairman of the Board in December 2007. He served on the Board of Directors of CapLease’s predecessor from 2001 until 2004. He was a member of CapLease’s investment committee and the investment oversight committee of the Board of Directors. Prior to his roles at CapLease, Mr. McDowell was Corporate Counsel for Sumitomo Corporation of America, the principal U.S. subsidiary of one of the world’s largest integrated trading companies. Mr. McDowell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University and a Juris Doctor with honors from Boston University School of Law.

Glenn Kindred serves as Executive Vice President, Restaurants at American Realty Capital Properties, Inc. (ARCP). In this role, Mr. Kindred is responsible for overseeing restaurant acquisitions, sale-leasebacks, asset management, build-to-suits and other restaurant partnership programs. He serves on ARCP’s Investment Committee, which reviews each asset to be acquired or disposed to ensure alignment with the company’s investment objectives. Mr. Kindred has more than 20 years of real estate industry experience. Prior to joining ARCP, he served as Managing Director of GE Capital’s Franchise Real Estate Equity Division where he ran acquisitions, dispositions and asset management of its restaurant real estate business. He has also served as Senior Vice President at Trustreet Properties (NYSE: TSY) and CNL Financial Group. Mr. Kindred’s extensive experience includes credit underwriting, origination, structured finance, asset management and restructuring. He has had direct involvement in more than $6 billion of restaurant transactions. Mr. Kindred is Credit Risk Certified by the Risk Management Association, holds the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation and is a licensed Real Estate Broker. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Stetson University, a Master of Business Administration degree from Florida Atlantic University, and a Master of Science degree in International Real Estate from Florida International University.

Simon Misselbrook serves as CFO & Treasurer for the managed Cole Capital REITs at American Realty Capital Properties, Inc. (ARCP). In this role, he oversees a broad range of accounting, financial reporting, corporate governance and finance activities including portfolio build-out, property- and portfolio-level financing, cash management and portfolio valuation for the Cole Capital REITs. Additionally, Mr. Misselbrook is responsible for forecasting and financial modeling for the Cole Capital offerings. Prior to its merger with ARCP, Mr. Misselbrook served as Senior Vice President, Principal Accounting Officer of Cole Real Estate Investments, Inc. In this role, he was responsible for the financial reporting and accounting functions, and served as Principal Accounting Officer for the non-listed REITs. Mr. Misselbrook has worked in the real estate industry for more than 13 years. Prior to joining the firm, he held the position of Audit Manager at Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Los Angeles in the real estate group, where he was the global engagement manager for the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm. Mr. Misselbrook earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and tax and a Master’s degree in accounting science from the University of South Africa. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is an active participant in the REIT industry and serves on the Investment Program Association’s Non-Traded REIT Financial Standards Sub-Committee.
